1. Identify one significant natural disaster that could affect
A bushfire can kill us by burning us and burning trees so there’s less shelter and no oxygen. A bushfire can also occur by burning everything in its place.

Research and explain how and why this natural disaster occurs?
Bushfires are caused by extreme heat. They are sometimes occurred when a person gets a lighter and puts it near trees/plants. They are also caused when heat comes near trees because trees have oil inside which is highly flammable. They also occur on a hot day and power lines heat up and become on fire.

3. How does the natural affect the environment?
The disaster affects animals. It can affect them by dieing or being injured.
Wildlife that survived will be struggling to survive because there will be nothing to eat or drink e.g. koalas will have no gum leaves so it can’t get it’s water. Fish also won’t survive because water will be dried up in the creeks or ash will pollute the creeks.

Fires cause more carbon dioxide and the lack of trees causes less oxygen. Air quality is worse due to large amounts of smoke and ash.

Buildings burn down such as houses, churches and schools. This affects children’s learning, because of fewer schools. Houses burning down will also affect living and will mean you will have to live somewhere else.

4. How do people respond to the disaster?

When a bushfire is finished you have to rebuild buildings and homes around your area of the city. Other people in the area supply food, accommodation and clothing.



5. Identify times when the type of natural disaster has affected the people of Australia (don’t forget how the people of Australia responded)

Last month a bushfire affected Victoria. It had killed at least three hundred and sixty five Australia’s. It had also killed a lot of animal species. It didn’t wipe out a bakery, house, motel and a pub. A Jesus statue from a church was the only statue left from the church.
